Who we are?

A story of adventure, hard work and coming home

We're Irina and Alex — a husband-and-wife team, and the two people behind every property SunnyCoast HomeStays looks after.

Our journey didn’t start in Spain. It started in Portugal, where we first fell for coastal living, warm communities and the Mediterranean way of doing things. Life then took us across the Atlantic to Orlando, Florida, where we built our previous property-management operation from the ground up. That business is part of our professional history and is not a current SunnyCoast HomeStays service area.

Years later, we returned to the Mediterranean — this time to Málaga, in the heart of the Costa del Sol. Today, SunnyCoast HomeStays is focused exclusively on serving property owners from Benalmádena to Marbella. Everything we learned along the way is applied to the homes we manage here.

We discovered coastal living, close-knit communities and Mediterranean culture — and knew this was the life we wanted to build around.

Where we learned the business

We built a property management company from the ground up and grew it to over 200 homes — through every challenge that comes with it.

Where we came home

The sea, the sun, the rhythm and the community. We returned to Europe to bring an international standard to the Costa del Sol.

Irina

Hi, I’m Irina and I’m in charge of Property Care. My job is to make sure every home we manage feels calm, cared for, and truly ready to be lived in. I coordinate our cleaners, inspectors, and maintenance team, checking everything from fresh linen and soft towels to the little fixes no one notices until they’re missing. We look after our owners’ properties as if they were our own, so every guest arrives to a home that feels special, not just another place to stay.

Alex

Alex is deeply rooted in the hospitality industry, a passion that began in his early years and was influenced by his family’s lineage of hoteliers. His extensive experience is complemented by a keen understanding of technology. Always staying ahead of the curve, Alex leverages cutting-edge tools and strategies in marketing and automation to deliver top-tier services. With a commitment to excellence and a penchant for innovation, he consistently strives to offer unparalleled experiences for both property owners and guests alike.
